Apostle - Todd Murner
Todd Murner was born in Louisville, Kentucky. At age eight, his family moved from the city to the mountainous region of eastern Kentucky so that his father could provide for the family by working as a coal miner. After graduating from High School, Apostle Todd attended Lee College in Cleveland, Tennessee where he earned his bachelor's degree in elementary education. It was during his senior year that he and Autumn Lea Hyde began dating and then married during the summer following graduation.
The young couple set up house in Harlan, Kentucky, while Apostle Todd began teaching and coaching in the public school system and Autumn finished her college education at Cumberland College. After four years, Todd realized that his calling had always been to preach the gospel and so they left the mountains for Trenton, Ohio. Apostle Todd accepted a position as a Christian school principal and youth pastor. However, in the best interest of the church, the school was discontinued in the fall of 1988 and so was Apostle Todd's position. The Murners moved farther west to Alton, Illinois, a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. There Apostle Todd served as a youth pastor and a Christian education director at Beltline Christian Center and Autumn directed the day care and preschool for Grace World Outreach Center. In January of 1992, Apostle Todd accepted his first pastorate in Bloomington, Illinois of a small mission church.
Although both Todd and Autumn worked secular jobs in addition to the ministry, it was a rewarding year. For it was during this time in Apostle Todd's ministry life that he began to receive kingdom revelation that seemed to deviate from denominational mainstream tradition. Holy Spirit began to teach Apostle Todd about the five-fold ministry, exposing him to other five-fold offices that were foreign to him. He also began to prophesy to the heavens that he was in need of a spiritual father to raise him up and establish him. However, after one year, the church was closed and the Murners moved again to Cleveland, Tennessee to minister at an independent charismatic work, their first step away from the denomination of his childhood.
Apostle Todd served as the singles minister and Christian education director, while Autumn headed up the daycare, preschool and school. However, it did not take long for them to realize that they were not in sync with this ministry either. Again, the nagging notion of a spiritual father kept overriding any presumed comfort that they desired. It was during this time that Apostle Todd almost quit the ministry, explaining to Yahweh that he would go back to the mountains to teach. Yahweh responded with one more move. So in 1994, as a result of a relationship with one of the pastors from the former church in Cleveland, Steve Parker, who had moved to Panama City, Florida, Apostle Todd and Autumn quit their jobs and moved to Panama City. They did not know what they would do occupationally, but simply that there was a spiritual father raising up sons at The Rock of Panama City.
When the Murners arrived in Panama City, for the first time in their marriage they were faced with not having a job. Ministry at this point was not an option. Initially, both Todd and Autumn gained employment at the area Wal-Mart for the summer. This was a strategic time for them as they laid down what was known and familiar to do what was necessary to obey the word of Yahweh to them. That fall they were employed by The Rock School as teachers. Over the next three years they taught at the school and were being taught by Holy Spirit through the ministry of The Rock about spiritual sonship, kingdom order and spiritual government. Every area of their lives were being judged by Holy Spirit and brought into right order. The Rock of Panama City became a safe place for them established by a spiritual father, F. Nolan Ball. For the first time in their lives, they were not trying to live up to a list of religious expectations, but simply living and walking in the Spirit, in the safety of an apostolic house.
In the fall of 1997, Apostle Ball asked Todd to join the staff at The Rock. Apostle Todd was ordained by the presbytery of The Rock in October of 1998. At this point, Apostle Todd's preaching ministry began to take on a fervor and passion that he had not known before.
Over the seven-and-a-half years that Todd and Autumn Murner were at The Rock of Panama City, many glorious things happened. Their marriage was strengthened, their finances secured, ministry redeemed, their lives were improved in every way. At the top of the list however was receiving their first child, Katelyn Elizabeth Murner on October 18, 1999. Autumn and Todd had waited over fifteen years for this blessing. She was everything they dreamed and so much more.
Apostle Todd ministered with Apostle Ball and the presbytery of The Rock until the fall of 2001. Holy Spirit had prepared Apostle Todd's heart to go to Northwest Arkansas to establish a five-fold ministry there. Apostle Ball and the presbytery agreed and sent Apostle Todd and his family to Arkansas to establish a kingdom outpost. The Rock of Northwest Arkansas began November 18th, 2001 and is presently preaching and teaching the proceeding word of Yahweh in northwest Arkansas.
