First Fruits Book excerpt

One of the Scriptures that has gotten me into trouble with “Christians” is my apostolic view of John 3:16. One day as I was minding my own business, Holy Spirit prompted me to look further into the most quoted verse in the entire Bible. I remember bantering with the Spirit about the issue and then realized that I have never won an argument or let’s say an energetic discussion with the Spirit before. He’s got this “knowing all things” working for Him that is hard to overcome when you’re in a debate against Him.

Usually, when prompted to delve deeper into a Scripture, that means breaking it down from the original language. So as not to bore you with all the details, my digging produced this interpretation:

“For Yahweh so loved the original order and divine design of His creation, that He sent His only begotten Son to restore that order.”

Now I know that man is implied in the creation, but honestly “for God so loved the world” doesn’t mean we can just default to the salvation of man and forget the other aspects of the creation. When you begin to understand the difference between the owner and a steward, then the light bulb will turn on and Kingdom perspective will begin to come into focus. The church has become so enamored with the salvation of man that it has ignored Yahweh’s reason for creating man to begin with-to rule and reign over the earth and raise up righteous seed to perpetually populate it. This would only be successful through right relationship with the owner-Yahweh. So this is the progression:

• Relationship with Yahweh
• Rule and Reign over the earth
• Raise up Righteous Seed

It’s all right there in Genesis 1:26-28:

Amazingly, when Yahweh’s original and redemptive order is in place, several results can always be expected. One, and this is by no means to be considered exhaustive, Yahweh’s original design will always, every time, be life-producing. Another amazing quality is that nothing has to be added to His original design in order for it to produce-which the Kingdom does automatically. And third, when the Kingdom is producing according to Yahweh’s order, its manifestation on the earth is perpetual.

That would beg the question to be asked, “What was Yahweh’s original order?” It is really no secret and is found right there in the first verse of the entire Scriptures, “In the beginning, Yahweh created the heavens (spiritual realm) and the earth (natural realm). It is our fundamental misunderstanding of these realms and their original and created relationship to each other that has caused the “church” to lose their way.

Let me explain. I love the game of golf. I have learned so much about the Kingdom of Yahweh through this somewhat silly exercise of chasing a very small sphere around numerous acres of land. Interestingly there are eighteen different opportunities with various “hazards” to keep one from reaching the goal in a suitable amount of strikes. Two of the major components of a golf course is the starting point of each hole-“the teeing area” and the ultimate destination-a hole in a designated area called a “green”. There can be many obstacles between the initial starting point and the ultimate destination, like trees, lakes, creeks, sand bunkers,-but no obstacle so daunting as the club that you hold in your hand.

Having played a lot of baseball in my life, one would think hitting a little ball with a golf club sitting on a tee would be elementary and not very challenging at all-oh contraire! The Kingdom principle is that you are required to strike the ball that is resting on the tee to begin the process of reaching the destination. However, let’s say that the direction of the flight of the golf ball is off just a fraction of a degree after launch, extrapolate that two hundred fifty yards and you will likely need a hiking guide to navigate your way to your golf ball. The point is simple but not overstated, Genesis was the tee box of creation-the origination point and creation was only on line until chapter three of the same book!

The next chapter will deal thoroughly with mankind and his gargantuan role in this whole relationship between heaven and earth. But think about it for a moment, if man did not corrupt this whole heaven and earth relationship, our Bibles would only include perhaps the first two chapters of Genesis and last two chapters of the Revelation that the apostle John received of Christ. Everything else has to do with the birth and formation of the nation that would usher in the Messiah and the subsequent salvation of man’s original purpose through Yahshua’s sacrifice and the establishment of His ecclesia (legislative body) through the leadership of the New Testament apostles.

So the ball got off course in the third chapter of Genesis and man has been perpetuating a philosophy that the redeemed purpose of man and the original purpose are two distinctly different destinations-like having two different greens on the same golf hole. No, Yahshua came to kick the ball out of the woods and get this connection of heaven and earth back online while restoring man’s original position as intercessor between both realms. The organized church got stuck on the salvation of man and forgot that it is the creation that gives Yahweh glory. Man is the steward of the creation and does so only through sonship.
